#CHAtweetup2012 Sponsor Spotlight: Tatuaje

Between now and the Chattanooga Tweet-Up, we will be featuring "spotlight" posts on each of the sponsors of the event. The order was chosen randomly.

If any company had become synonymous with the boutique cigar revolution of the past decade, I would think Tatuaje would be it. Nine years ago, from out of the blue, comes a young tattooed guy from Los Angeles named Pete Johnson and a Cuban ex-pat master blender named Don Pepin Garcia. Brown Label Cazadores and Reserva, Red Label Havana VI, White Label Series P, Cabaiguan, La Riqueza, El Trinfador, Ambos Mundos...what else is there to say? Monsters! Highly sought-after Limited Editions and store exclusives! The list goes on and on. At this point, it seems like Pete Johnson has developed at least one cigar for every palate and level of cigar enthusiast. His new releases are some of the most sought-after and imitated in the country.

Pete has been busy creating a new brand, separate from Tatuaje, called L’Atelier, based in Miami, but he definitely hasn’t taken the year off from his original lines. We have already seen Cojonu 2012 and Little Monsters releases this year and several line extensions were slated to debut at the IPCPR show as well.

Pete Johnson will be in town for the 2012 Chattanooga Tweet-Up, making his first appearance in town since the 2010 Monster Series release of The Face. Check out some of the reviews we have posted on Tatuaje and related products:
